Who this applies to

This policy covers visitors to our website and users of the MarketPilot application at app.marketpilotseo.com. If your agency uses MarketPilot under its own brand, that agency is the controller of its clients’ data and this policy describes how we, as its processor, handle it.

Information we collect

Account information — your name, email address, and profile photo. Authentication is handled by our identity provider; we do not store your password.

Workspace and usage data — the workspaces, clients, tasks, keywords, and settings you create, and how you interact with the product.

Site data you add — the website URLs and competitor URLs you choose to analyze. To produce audits we retrieve and process content from those publicly accessible pages.

Connected-account data — if you connect Google Analytics or Google Search Console, we store an OAuth token server-side and use it only to read the analytics and search data for the sites you connect.

Communications — messages you send us and emails we send you (invitations, reports, notifications).

Technical and log data — IP address, browser/device information, and activity logs used for security, debugging, and abuse prevention.

How we use your information

We use the information to operate and provide the service, run analyses and generate AI outputs, maintain security and prevent abuse, communicate with you, comply with legal obligations, and improve the product.

AI processing

MarketPilot uses third-party AI providers to generate analyses, recommendations, keywords, briefs, reports, and proposals from the data described above. Your data is sent to these providers as processors to perform these functions, subject to their terms. We do not sell your data.

Service providers (subprocessors)

We rely on trusted third parties to run MarketPilot, including cloud infrastructure providers (hosting, authentication, database, and storage), AI providers (generation), performance-measurement providers, and — only when you connect them — Google Analytics and Google Search Console. We may use keyword-research providers for volume and difficulty estimates, an email delivery provider for transactional email, and other providers we engage to operate the service. Each processes data only to provide its function.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers above, when required by law or legal process, to protect our rights and users’ safety, and in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (in which case we will notify you).

Data retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You may request deletion as described below.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit. Access to production data is restricted; our database and file storage are protected by deny-by-default rules, and connected-account tokens are stored server-side and never exposed to the browser. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data.

Your rights and choices

Depending on your location (including under the GDPR and CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can update much of your information in the app, or contact us at privacy@marketpilotseo.com to make a request. We do not use your data for automated decisions that produce legal effects about you.

Cookies

We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences (such as your active workspace and theme). We do not use advertising cookies.

Children

MarketPilot is a business tool and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

International transfers

We are based in the United States and process data there. If you access MarketPilot from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to and processed in the U.S. and other countries where our providers operate.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with an updated effective date, and where appropriate we will notify you.
